• bike rentals: there are countless tours on separate cycling paths round the lakes on flat ground or for mountainbikers up hill of all grades
• Füssen: fantastic medieval city with shopping in beautiful narrow streets, a real castle on a mount as well as a barock monastery
• cinema: in Füssen
• indoor climbing centre: run by German Alpine Club (DAV)
• Royal Castles: King Ludwig II.'s fairy palace of Neuschwanstein and his father's Hohenschwangau (still owned by the Wittelsbach former royal dynasty)
• Royal Thermal Spa Schwangau: wellness and sauna
• Castle ruins of Falkenstein, as well as Eisenberg and Hohenfreyberg (45 minutes through the woods)
• Zugspitze: Germany's tallest mountain peak at 2962 metres by lift or cable car (1h)
• Forggensee shipping: MS Füssen does the tour of lake Forggen and takes you from Rieden/Osterrainen to Füssen
• Cheese making: local cheese production in an old style mountain "cheesery"
• Summer slide (toboggan) run: 760m at the Tegelberg (9.00-5.00)
• Paragliding: tandem,trial or training
• Sailing: courses or boat rental
• Munich:Bavarian state capital with shops museums and lots of history (2h by train or 80 minutes by car)
• Romantic Road: from Rottenburg to Füssen
• Lake of Constance: wine making, sailing, fruit growing and flower shows
• Barock sites: Wieskirche, Ottobeuren, Füssen, Coloman
• Ristorante/Pizzeria da Piero:Ristorante Originale Italiano (400 metres)
